Barstaff
Having started on the bar is Margie, who will be doing most Saturday nights. Please make Margie feel welcome, as I have no doubt you will. Margie has been a member of our club for a number of years now and it’s good to see someone new come on board to give our barstaff a break. Welcome on board Margie and a big thanks.
Many thanks to all our barstaff without whom we would not have a club. As with everyone sometimes they need a day off for outside of club commitments. When our staff need a day off it would be good to have someone to call on apart from the same old, same old. It might only be for one day a month and full training will be given.
Sports Round Robin Day
A new concept in fun days for the club is being looked at. The committee are looking for numbers of members interested in this fun day which involves a round of 3 or 4 events. Darts, pool, indoor bowls and possibly golf putting are the events being talked about and it has all the makings of another great fun day for you club members. If interested, see Tom or any barstaff. Nothing concrete has been set up yet.
Club Not Feeling Well List
Spare a thought for those on the club not well list. With the time of year it is there is no doubt the flu nasties will be doing their rounds. Remember the club has heating and is not scared to use it so although its cold outside there is warmth inside.
Welcome back
For those who are not aware Ross, our venerable stalwart of our club, has been away for a weekend stay under the care of some overworked nurses. He is now home and very glad of it as he can now have hot feeds on time.
Welcome back on board Ross
Darts
Congratulations must go to Kelvin Greig and James Rossiter who took third equal in the Mens Pairs (with Richmond WMC) at the recent Nationals held in Petone
Club Tee Shirts
If any of you folk out there like the club shirts that the bar staff are wearing, you can have your own. For information on how you can obtain one or two for yourself enquire from the barstaff
Rhythm and Groove
It may interest you to know that the entertainment we had for St. Paddy Day has been rebooked for New Years Eve. Anyone who attended that night will tell you what good value they are. The early booking was to ensure we had them before they got grabbed by someone else. So for a really great night mark your calendars now.
P.S: the Guys and Dolls did a humorous rendition of Living Next Door to Alice"
Privates
As members you can book and use the facilities for any private function that you may have coming up. Eg weddings birthdays funerals etc. If you do decide to use the club on a private basis check details with the barstaff, they may not be able to tell you right then and there but they will get back to you. If you are going to use the facilities please make sure that they are cleaned to the same standard that you found it. It is your responsibility to ensure this is done and please don’t leave it to the barstaff to have to clean up before they open. Goodness knows they are volunteers to run the bar not clean up after private functions Notices This is one for all you folk out there who may be considering buying a new car. For every car bought by a Sanson Club member from David Conza at Courtesy Ford in Palm.Nth. $150.00 will be donated to the club. David is a member of our club and is a all round good fella. To check him out and for a reference see Ross If any of you guys have any notices you want included in this newsletter leave a note at the bar or drop a line at the above e-mail address with “notice for newsletter” in the subject line. This is a freebie service for you, our members. This can be for buy sell or exchange of anything legal (except for spouses and kids) or notices of upcoming events etc
