A big thank you

must go to all the background people at the club. This includes all the barstaff who don't go home when the doors shut, there’s all the cleaning still to be done. All the paperwork (accounting and promotional) gets done by these good folk. Nothing would be available for sale if these guys didn't spend some of their own time (and sometimes travel costs) getting in supplies. The newsletters etc don't do themselves.

Without these many folk the club would not exist and need all the help and support they can get. (see article below).

Yay: Winter Is Over

Now that winter is over and the big yellow thing in the sky is coming more often it is time for a clean up at the club. The date of which is yet to be ascertained. This will involved both inside and out and will need everyone who is available, even if only for a hour or so. Keep an eye on the notice board for the date of this event. It’ll be good to have the grounds and buildings looking good for our members and guests over the summer months. Past clean ups have proved to be a most enjoyable and worthwhile time.

Believe it or Not

Spring is here which is rapidly followed by summer. It is therefore time to start thinking of the Club Christmas Function. The usual multi-draw raffle will be held this year and as last year the big prize is a pig. Last year this went down a treat, didn’t it Dick. So start thinking of what you can put toward to this fun event.

Change of Handle Club Night

Last months survey regarding your preference of what night Handle Club is to be held revealed that Sunday nights is the preferred night. The handle club draw will now be held Sunday night between the hours of 5-6pm, the exact time is at the bar persons discretion. 4 handle club members still need to be present before the draw takes place.

Another change to Sunday nights will be the provision of cheese and crackers (and on some Sundays even pickled onions, yummy) for your enjoyment. This will be starting shortly

Sick List

The Sanson Club is and always has been a community minded club. To go with this the sunshine lady will sending get better cards to not feeling so good Sanson community  members as well as club members . If you know of anyone in the community not feeling on top of their game give the barperson a holler who will make a note to be passed onto the sunshine lady.

Fun Afternoon

An afternoon of pool is set down for Sunday September 23. It will be against Turakina and is being played at our club. The start time is set for around 2.00ish so as usual please write names on board. While you are at the board check for a time update
